Graphical: Live Document 01 captures a live performance by Canadian musician and sound artist Daniel Majer, recorded during the send + receive festival, Winnipeg, Canada, 2024. Live Document 01 is the first in a series of recordings curated by Graphical. During the performance, Majer extends and expands upon the themes present in his recent album, Time For No Memory (Vaagner).
Throughout the work, you can hear Majer manipulating and processing sounds, as he reconstructs the album to produce themes that are concrete and abstract, containing an emotional weight. The performance reflects his process and intrigue with the intersection of memory and sound.
Format: Pro-dubbed C-40 cassette, clear hardshell case with J-card printed on archival 80lb white cardstock (printed and re-scanned)
